Not a drop of even a cent in Chhukha revenue, assures V.P. Haran

I thought that the BBS had misquoted the Indian Ambassador. Upon playing the video clip (http://www.bbs.bt/news/elections2013/?p=27065) that was posted underneath the news article, I realized that he had been quoted verbatim. There is no mistake.

So, Ambassador Haran, can we hear it once more, please? This time without the slip-up, if it was not intended.

  1. The Indian Ambassador should have clarified this much before the Bhutanese went to the polls and before PDP stole the elections. This is too little, too late. We have sacrificed democracy to fear-mongering and Indian bullying.

    Winners: PDP and India
Losers: The people of Bhutan and Democracy.

    1. It is all politics , all of us should expect the fact that Bhutan have voted for PDP ....and the truth is both the party were involved in corrupt act. ...people of Bhutan are winner as now we have govt who have support of India... Without support of India will sill be in old stone age or another Tibet
..imagine If DPT won than it was for sure India won't support us..... Than by 2018 Bhutan won't be in the world map.... I am not a supporter of PDP but a true citizen of bhUtan ..so before writing every one of use must think ...and know the truth ..

  4. Like Anonymous said...too little too late for the author n like-minded bhutanese....wat to do? u beta stay awake and record the new govt's transgression if any and come up with ur party's version of Bhutanomics n thebhutanese...tenzin lamsang or whosoever n trounce them in 2018. I am sure u have heard of "two can play the game". ppl like us would enjoy the drama just as we did the past few months or yrs. it is entertaining what the party supporters can come up with....so please entertain us....u can continue to pretend the masses are dullards. Gud luck to both the parties n their ardent supporters.

    1. PDP won but democracy lost, no more voting for me, it has become a big farce.

  5. I know you will not post it, but its ok you will read it. why you are consumed in finding a reason for DPT's defeat other than the choice of majority of Bhutan. I remember at first all your post were biased towards PDP and in-between, you came out with vague article trying to convince others that you are neutral and writing in the interest of the country. But now after result of election which you haven't dreamed of, you are becoming very apparent that your writings are biased and what you argued that you are neutral are all lie( blatant lie) and your writings are at all not in the interest of the country but fulfill vested interest and create disharmony if your interest is not materialized. Anyway my sincere sympathy for your current physical and mental state.

    1. There are so many reasons for DPTs loss and all legitimate, are you that blind that you could not see what was happening or what. Now, please don't give us the example of 2008, in 2008 nothing of the sort that happened in 2103 took place. What happened in 2008 was that the PDP party workers lied through their teeth to convince their party leaders that PDP would win, simple as that.

  6. This election showed us where we stand and what we are.We are like a pack of cards in the hands of India,it showed us we can be shuffled as much as India wants to.
Our big friend wants a joint venture in our hydro power projects and DPT government rejected it outright. This rejection didn't go well with India, thus India sent a message in the form of subsidy sanctions.
India knew DPT will come back after they saw the primary round of the election.
In the main time a journalist who wanted to get even with the Chinese for their actions in the 50s.He used his old office in India to write a cooked story on Indo-Bhutan relation being strained by DPT government following the Rio handshake.
India got the message and goofed up more stories on China's intrusion in Bhutan and also the subsidy drama to confuse the voter at a crucial period.
India knew if DPT came to power their idea to rob Bhutan of her hydro power projects would remain a dream.
Deep down PDP knows and feels that their win was because of India lending their Joker from the pack.
Now whatever, whoever has won must act towards not using such jokers to win over your own people in future.
All said and done, now work together to take Bhutan ahead and strengthen the people to overcome all obstacles.

  9. It is high time that we all stand united and think about how we move forward rather than how, why and who became the 2nd democratically elected PM. Its no use draining our energy on dwelling too much on the past. The new PM has started working on the pledges that he made and its only fair that we give him time to work on that. As long as there is sincerity in his efforts he deserves the support and good wishes of the Bhutanese people.
